Think Spring! Giveaway {Guelph Photographer}

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Think Spring!  Although it still looks like winter outside due to the nasty trick that Mother Nature pulled this past week, Spring IS just around the corner!   I have a few different outdoor locations in mind that I am eager to try out, but I have just been waiting for the milder temperatures and for some lovely greenery to appear to create a natural and beautiful backdrop!  I have also waiting for the right opportunity…I need some “models” that would be willing to accompany me to one of my location choices and allow me to photograph them.   This is where the fun part comes in!  I am putting out a casting call in the form of a contest/giveaway.  If what I have mentioned above is of interest to you, then enter to win!

Up for grabs is one free portrait session at an outdoor location of my choice.  In addition to the free session, the winner will also receive a complimentary 8×10, and 3 5x7s…a value of $100!  Session can accomodate child, family, couples or maternity portraiture.
There are 3 ways to enter.  You can complete one, two or all three steps for your chance to win:
1)     “Like” Defining Moments Photography on Facebook.  Come back and leave a comment on the blog letting me know that you completed the first step (If you are already a fan, just let me know that in your comment).
2)    Update your Facebook status to share the news with the rest of your friends about the giveaway (you can “tag” the page by adding the @ symbol before typing Defining Moments Photography).  Leave a second comment on the blog indicating that you have completed step #2.
3)    Leave a comment on the blog indicating one of your favourite outdoor locations that may be appropriate to conduct a photo session.
The contest will run from March 26, 2011 until 9am Friday, April 1, 2011.  The winner will be selected through using random.org, and will be announced on the blog on Friday, April 1.  I’m excited to find out who my lucky model(s) will be!  Good luck!

    Steps 1 and 2 complete! It was easy to like….you are amazing! I don't know a lot of places in Guelph but I do know there's a few beautiful spots in Riverside Park. There are some nice outdoor spots in Elora…ruins of an old stone building and a nice spot right down on the river.

    Hey Dana,

    Step 1 and 2 are done (I was already a fan of your incredible photography!!) Step 3: When I lived in Guelph I was a huge fan of the boathouse and the covered bridge, both are places I spent many warm afternoons indulging in ice cream. Ryan and I also spent a good chunk of time a the beginning of our relationship on the edge of the Speed River and it is a place we refer to often when we talk about summer.
    U of G has beautiful spots with lush trees, the greenhouse, the old buildings – I love the backdrop from my grad photos simply because of these elegant features.

    Hey Dana!
    Pick me! Pick me!! haha :) I LOVE everything you have done so far, and I am already a big "fan" of your page :) I have lots of location ideas – we can chat more when I see you tomorrow, but to name a few: boathouse, covered bridge, stone wall downtown, river/trail pics, graffiti wall near train station, sand pit, old ruins by the river in Elora – nice trail pics there too, courthouse in Guelph, and the normal field and park pics – university grounds, the arboretum, etc…. hope this helps!

    I think a couplle of great places for pictures outdoors are, the stone wall, my brother & sister in law's pics there are great, the clay hills in Caledon, and Forks of the Credit PP, and Forks of the Credit in general, just some places around Orangeville.
    Your places are pretty great already, keep up the great work.
