Session Share: Sunset Family Session on Lake Huron

We’ve only just recently bid farewell to summer, but I am already reminiscing about those beautiful, mild summer nights at the beach! This family session was captured in August on the shores of Lake Huron at my clients’ family cottage in Oliphant, north of Sauble Beach. The sun was a beautiful fiery red and gave us lovely warm light, we had the entire beach to ourselves, and my clients were up for anything (including getting a little bit wet) - and so it was the perfect recipe for a successful beach session in my books!

I’ve said it before and I’ll probably never stop saying it - but it really is such a privilege to be able to help a family capture memories, and their most cherished relationships. It always warms my heart to see the bonds and connections amongst everyone, and culling and editing images like the ones below always have me smiling from ear to ear!

A fun little tidbit - This session ended up being a bit of a surprise reunion of sorts! When I arrived I instantly recognized Jen, as we had been in the same elementary school class together many, many years ago! I didn’t realize this ahead of time (since we both now have different last names), but it was so nice seeing a familiar face and reconnecting as adults so many years later.
