Let’s Give Back! | Halloween Charity Sessions

We are into the first week of October and Halloween is on my mind!! When I was located in Guelph, I hosted annual Halloween Mini Sessions as a way of giving back and supporting a chosen charity. These sessions were always so well received and a lot of fun for both myself and my little participants who loved the opportunity to show off their costumes! In the past, our Halloween event has supported a “Music & Memory” program at the Elliott Community in Guelph for seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, Michael House Pregnancy Care Centre in Guelph, Ronald McDonald House locations in Hamilton & Toronto, and the Roger Hixon Milk Bank out of Mount Sinai Hospital.

After putting out a call on social media to seek out some local charity options, I was introduced to Second Chance Kids - an organization that offers support for families in Grey and Bruce counties who have children under 19 years of age that require lengthy out-of-town hospital stays. The support is based on the length of time that the child is hospitalized, with the purpose being to assist families with the expenses related to their child's hospitalization, including gas, accommodation, food, parking, and child care for siblings. After learning more about this organization and their mission, I felt it was a wonderful cause to support, and so this year, all proceeds from the Halloween Mini Sessions will be going to Second Chance Kids.

The Halloween Portrait event will take place at my in-home studio near Shallow Lake on Wednesday, October 19th (daytime & evening time slots available), and Friday, October 21st. With a donation of $20, you will receive up to a 10-minute session (for up to 3 siblings) and one (1) high resolution digital image of your choice (delivered via download). Space is limited! If you would like to participate in this year's event, please click here to book your session.

These sessions are VERY popular and have booked out quickly in the past! Please ensure that you are able to participate in the event when reserving a time slot. It is important to me that all time slots are filled on the day of the event so that we can maximize our donation to Second Chance Kids.
