Did you know that the best time to have newborn portraits completed is within the first 14 days of baby’s arrival? Personally, I find the sweet spot to be when baby is between 5-10 days old, as they are still quite sleepy during this time, and also transition into those nice curly poses fairly easily. It is certainly possible to still achieve beautiful imagery of babies beyond this window, but for clients who desire those sleepy, posed shots - I always recommend having the session completed within those first two weeks of baby’s birth, when possible.

Baby Roxanna came into the studio for her newborn session at 10 days new, and she was an absolute dream to photograph! How adorable is she?! And that gorgeous hair!!!
