What does a “Petite” Newborn Session Look Like?
Owen Sound Newborn Photographer |
Congratulations! You are expecting (or have just welcomed your new arrival!) and you’re looking into booking a portrait session for your new baby. A newborn portrait session is a once in a lifetime investment to help you remember how perfectly precious and tiny your little one was in those early days. It’s such a fleeting time and I love helping families capture the beauty and unique features of their sweet babe. Newborn sessions are best completed within the first 14 days of baby’s arrival. I offer two newborn portrait session options - the Full Session and the smallest package is the “Petite Session”. The Full package includes individual shots of baby, in addition to sibling, parent and family photos. However, our smaller package option focuses on baby only. The session lasts approximately an hour, and baby is wrapped for the duration of the session. Wrapping baby helps to keep them feeling cozy and comfortable, which in turn enables me to maximize the number of shots I can get within the shorter allotted timeframe. The “Petite” session is a budget-friendly option and may be a good choice for you if you only want a handful of images, or you don’t want to include any family poses. Baby will usually be photographed within a prop or two, and also on my posing beanbag.
